Equalizer SG Modification: Case Study - Offset Secure Grip
The Problem:
The Standard SG (Secure Grip) tool was clashing with a nearby vessel meaning there was no space for collet access.
The Solution:
The tools were already purchased and shipped, so an Offset Collet Holder Kit was suggested. Equalizer SG11TM tools were recommended for SPO Compact flange joint due to zero access gap; spreading wedges will not fit. Custom kits allow modification of standard tools. Modified tools resolve restricted access issues.
