Our long reach hydraulic pole saws can be supplied with an insulated foam-filled fibreglass section which are primarily used for vegetation management and tree clearing around live power lines. These long reach saws require a low-pressure power source and are often powered from an EWP (elevated work platform or aerial bucket) but can also be powered by a pump (petrol/electric/diesel) or other hydraulic machinery (sometimes requires a flow control valve depending on machinery pressure and flow rate). Pole saws can be used with hose-sets keeping the pole saw from the pump or power source. The benefits of hydraulic pole saws include long periods of usage, they can also be more powerful and weigh less than petrol units.
